CRAFT Immersive Semester: Our off-campus Learning Lab at The King Farm
In partnership with the Vermont Land Trust (VLT) and the National Park , we envision a classroom space at the King Farm that utilizes the historical, agricultural, and forested landscape as a district-wide learning lab.
A cohort of Juniors and Seniors will each spend a semester learning about and doing hands on the land work to build our community and climate resilience through agricultural and forestry innovation. We piloted this experience in the fall of 2025. Students ultimately created this presentation to share the history and vision for the King Farm.
Students will meet at this off-campus location for extended class time to immerse themselves in learning that is relevant, empowering, and place-based. Students will work with community partners to help steward our farms and forests for the future.
